What is Support at Home?

Support at Home (SaH) is the Australian Government's new program replacing Home Care Packages (HCP). It is designed to give older Australians more choice and control over their in-home care services. The Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) continues separately until 1 July 2027.

Under Support at Home, you can choose your own service providers for things like cleaning, gardening, and home maintenance. You can be care-managed (where a coordinator organises services on your behalf) or self-managed (where you choose and manage your own providers directly).

Care-Managed or Self-Managed?

Under Support at Home, you choose how your services are organised. We work with both arrangements.

Care-Managed

A provider or coordinator manages services on your behalf. They send us a referral, and we work directly with them to schedule your cleaning or gardening. You do not need to manage invoicing or documentation — your coordinator handles that.

Self-Managed

You choose your own providers and contact us directly. We handle scheduling, service delivery, and invoicing with you. Our invoices are itemised so you (or your plan manager) can claim reimbursement through your SaH funding.

What is CHSP and can you work with my CHSP funding?

The Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) provides entry-level support for older Australians and continues until 1 July 2027. We are unable to take on CHSP referral codes directly. However, if your current CHSP provider allows contractors, we are able to complete the service on their behalf — as we do for many providers across Brisbane. Ask your CHSP coordinator if this arrangement is available to you.

Can I choose Ezi Living as my cleaning provider under SaH?

Yes. Whether you are care-managed or self-managed, you can choose Ezi Living for your cleaning and gardening services. If you are care-managed, ask your coordinator to refer us. If you are self-managed, contact us directly and we will handle scheduling and invoicing with you.

Do you invoice my plan manager directly?

Yes. We can invoice your plan manager, your provider, or you directly — whichever suits your arrangement. Our invoices are itemised and clearly aligned to service categories so there is no confusion when processing claims.

Are your staff police-checked and insured?

Yes. Every team member holds a current National Police Check and Blue Card. We carry full public liability and professional indemnity insurance. We also train staff in infection control, WHS, and respectful service delivery.
